Question Diffrentials are Whining

So my mechanic decides he wants to be cool and put some "LSD Performance Additive" into my diffs with Redline Oil.....Before even asking me. I have one of the best mechanics in town, and I think he just wanted to help out because he knows how I drop my clutch at 5500rpm and autocross. l I'm thinking that it's just not heavy enough oil though and they are rubbing together.... If anyone has and idea what this could be, please let me know....

So what is the question?
If it's whining change it back to the factory fluid.
Who knows what spec of the Redline he used.

Fireball & others have had good results with Redline 75w90. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...threadid=44637

Yeah,

It was the 75w90 that I provided him with (His shop doesnt carry it). Then he put in the additive. Of course I'm swapping the fluids out. Thank you captain obvious. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, or maybe something else could be wrong.

TRANSFER CASE!!!!!!!!!

So the diff fluids get changed again for free today...... My mechanic (who works heavily on DSM's) now tells me to take it to and get warranty work done. Apparently, he thinks I ****ed a bearing in the transfer case. I love cars.

never use "additives"

just use synthetic fluids with nothing added. i think they usually do more harm then good. ever read that lawsuit against some companys that made additives and tests showed they did nothing to decrease engine wear, but did opposite of what they advertised? its all about making money. doesnt matter who is screwed over as long as they can fool the customer and make alot of money.

and do you know castrol syntec isn't a "full synthetic?" it is dino oil with synthetic oil technology... i think mobil took them to court to stop saying it was a synthetic oil when its not.
