I think your check engine light will come on if you unplug it. I just have mine zip tied out of the way.

It definitely will throw a cel if you unplug it. Just cap it off and leave it tied up.

I've done it on 3 evo's. None threw a CEL.

Disconnecting mine threw a CEL. Leave it plugged in and tied out of the way if using a manual boost controller, or use ecu boost control with an updgraded solenoid.

thanks guys!!

this is off topic but maybe someone can help me with my shifter problem also? i didnt drive my car for like three days and out of nowhere my shifter became really really stiff in neutral when moving it side to side and when shifting from 2nd to 3rd i have to pull the shifter back in the center before i shift cause it will be stuck to the side or if i take it out of 1,2,5,6 or reverse the shifter will just be stuck to the side cause its soo stiff, i have a hard time getting into reverse now so i really need to fix this problem. has anyone ever had this happen to them and how did you fix it?

Yea my car does this too. Havent checked it out caus it loosens itself back up eventually.

My guess is it's in the shifter base. Likely silicone spray will help
