^sounds like dynodude might be right Nothing like a forcing factor for an upgrade, though! I sold my stock IX turbo about 1 month ago and it had no play after 35k. I was happy about that and got a fast sale because of it!

In and out play is exactly what you need to be looking for. The turbo is about to take a dump on you.

I have seen turbo failures that cause a lot of harm to your engine and some that have done nothing but blow a bunch of oil. My suggestion would be to stop driving it to prevent it from sending any trash into your engine.

Thats funny b/c AMS said that to me too. that, "that noise was normal & that i shouldnt be concerned with it." along with the metal shavings in my oil was 'NORMAL" sometimes i like being a girl in a man-dominated sport.
