No, mine does not have the flex section in it.

Thanks for all of the tips! I was just about sold on the Kartboy route, but now I think I will try the longer bolt idea with the square nut.

Do you know what size the head is, and the length you decided to get? I am trying to get all done in one shot to the store.

Also, does anyone know why this has all of a sudden become an issue? Anyone have any insight to that?

Just get a hardened Bolt about a 1/2" longer than the one that's in there now and the nut to go with it.

Not a whole lotta room past the threads to work with. Be careful.

Spacer or washers is a etter solution.

I have a little rattle too that sounds like exhaust, so i went out and checked to see if my down pipe was hitting, but the brace was not on my car :-/, previous owner must have removed it....

Do you have both tie bars installed? I know my megan dp fits with one fine and the other needed spacers. I still had some rattling somewhere else but the front motor mount stopped all that.

Thats odd... I installed my ams tbe this past weekend and I have about a quarter inch clearance with the dp and no spacing of the tie bar...

I got a rattle/rub after doing the Megan DP, but it was hitting the damn front swaybar not the tiebars. Ended up hammering the DP in that spot to get some clearance.

I noticed that now the exhaust makes noise immediately after I start the car up and slightly rev it a little bit repeatedly.

I got down on my knees and looked under the car while pushing the accelerator off and on. I saw that the exhaust, mainly the middle to rear section, moving pretty dramatically with each time I revved the engine and causing a noise. As the car warmed up, the noise went away while revving.

So, I think that the noise is not coming from a downpipe - tie bar vibration.

I have decided to go with the kartboy hangers and see where that takes me.

The exhaust may be rattling against the heat shield above it. check to make sure your exhaust has clearance on the top around the cat/test pipe flanges.

Ok so the culprit was actually the connection from the downpipe to the testpipe. Somehow one of the two bolts backed out causing the two pipes to vibrate. I tightened that up and then replaced only two of the 5 exhaust hangers with kartboy ones.

By the way I'm not sure how anyone has gotten all five of theirs on; the rubber is very stiff making it very difficult to actually put them on. But even replacing just two of them I can notice a difference. Thanks for all the input guys!

spray the hangers with WD40 or other penatrant. hangers should slide on ....learned this from my local muffler shop....easy.
