i know a couple people on this fourm have run them. Not really that impressive of a turbo. In fact search dynoflash AL had a video of a person that came in with one and he dynoed it etc. Turbo not really worth the cash unless you got it dirt cheap 500 dollars or something like that. it has crazy fast spool but you could have gotten a hta green or bbk full for better results and just about the same spool rate. In fact you should have just went fp red off top but i understand you just needed something to replace that worn out turbo

The HTA Green or BBK full would have been a better choice. The FP White seems to be more for auto cross racing nothing with really long straights.

It sounds like you want something close to stock, but want to upgrade still. If I were in your shoes, I would choose the BBK or FP Green before the White.

You'll be better off with another turbo...my vote is for the Tomei ARMS and I am biased but since you have an Evo 8 the Tomei already comes with the install kit that you would have to buy with any other stock appearing turbo anyways + it comes with an upgraded actuator.

White will be fine for what you want to do.

Dave Kern ran one on his Evo 9 last year and won Pikes Peak with it. Made decent power for a good price.

I think it will be just fine.

a fp white costs $1075 for araund the 380 whp with good setup and set of ***** capable of 400 whp on 93 octane.
a stock 9 turbo uses most of the time meth or e85 to get to 380 whp

at the and i think for the same power, the stock 9 tubro will be more exspensive due the need of meth ore the changes to be made to run e85
