Most connecting rods are not directional. Most likely, this is a "superstition" type of engine building tip. The big thing is to make sure that if you have offset wrist pin pistons, you install those correctly.

yeah didn't think it mattered which way the rod faces, not like the bushing is offset. the piston, yes. i know map says their ultimate rods can face whichever way but they prefer to face the writing to the front of engine just out of habit.

I have BC H-Beam Rods. BC wrote on my question, that it doesn't matter which direction, but all four the same. (By the way, BC Email support was fast, while JE don't answer my two mails about the marking "INT").

I install them like OEM. With the tangs facing to the intake.

And another off topic "by the way". Wire locks are a pain in the ***.
