ACT CLUTCH not for me anymore!!
good luck im on my 3rd act clutch in 12k miles, and before you say i cant drive or shift, or launch it too much, ive got my shifting down, now on my first failure it was cuz there was a high spot in one of the clutch dowel pins so it wasnt fully disengaging, mind you i was only at 285tq at the time, 2nd failure 3k after 2nd install due to clutch hub and clutch disc breaking into about 20 pieces, on a 3rd to 4th 7500 rpm shift, now what i did to make sure this time the clutch is problem free is I installed AMS upper and lower SS clutch lines, shifting is more crisp and clutch pedal stays more consistent, 12k and no problems (knock on wood) and im makin 385 hp and 355tq aw....so it depends maybe you got a friday built clutch kit, but took a long time to get my mess sorted out with the clutch company, but in the end act came through for me.
I have the ACT-MB7-HDSS w/ Prolite flywheel.
It was installed at Jack's Transmissions in Feb of 09. I' have over 40 passes on the clutch. Several 11's with dozens of 1.6X's 60's. Shifting around 7300. Still running strong and this is my daily driver.
