should only run 280s if you are running a completely built motor with a 67+mm turbo for drag. 272 will do the trick just fine

So im gonna be ordering cams soon im still conflicked on which size, 272s vs 280s. 2.4l built block 9:1 ratio pistons, redline will be around 8k with a 6262 turbo. With the possibility of upgrading to a 6765. I will be doing springs and retainers. Im going for 600whp with meth, 400whp without. Also by best im taking overall best ie power gained vs power lost.

Because HKS cams dont have alot of lift, they are fairly mild..
Duration is not what is a problem for valvetrain it is the amount of lift

so i narrowed it down to M3's, kelford 280's(possibly 280 int 272 exh), S3's. Im leaning towards a 280intake 272exhaust set up which the M3 is but ive heard great things about Kelford.

this is what im going for as well.. i beleive ttp or ams or one of those guys did a comparison of the m2's vs m3's and they saw no low end power loss with the bigger cam only difference was more power up top. kelford and cosworth almost have the same duration and lift if u go with the kelford 280/272...
