i know it would be a good idea to do springs/retainers, some require it, looking to see who has done w.o them. looking at hks 272's let me know what you guys think.

 

from what i understand you can run HKS 272's with the stock valvetrain since the stockers are somewhat close but of course do some research. companies like kelford, cosworth, GSC just to name a few do require aftermarket spring/retainers

 

hks 272s are safe to run without changing valves and retainers.

 

Stock springs/retainers are perfectly fine with those cams.

 

Been running HKS 272 and still have stock springs/retainers. Even HKS 280 is still somewhat safe with stock springs.

 

I have had the HKS 272's for a few years, well rounded cam. Keep the rpm under 7600.
