Hi guys - little history - Evo8 2005 model, BBK Lite, AMS intercooler, new plugs, nisei battery and piping kit.
Car seems to be missing / surging above 5k - this only happened after installing AMS intercooler. Piping is clamped 100%. Cannot boost above 1.5 bar as she splutters horribly. Actuator fine, can hold to 2bar. Doesn't sound like spark issues - any further ideas where I can start to look now ?
Map is fine, no knock, fueling still a little rich, but well within spec. AFR healthy from idle to redline - then sometimes it doesn't splutter at all and goes like a bomb.

did you perform a boost leak test?

did you check the plugs?

 

yes - plugs 100 %, and no boost leaks - going to strip apart again tonight and have another look. seems to be getting progressively worse
