Tap water 90%
and ethyl alchol - 10%
a few drops of vinegar.

edit : I don't know what distilled water costs in the states, but down here its a little too $ to be practical, so we add vinegar to the solution to prevent clogging of the lines by the minerals. If you don't want to mess with alcohol, some shaven ice and water does work before a run!

The main reason for adding alcohol is to keep the water from freezing.

You really don't want to use Tap water either. The small traces of minerals in the water will eventually clog the lines up. Used distilled water.

Also, the alcohol in anything you make will corrode the aluminum fins of the intercooler. recommends windshield washer fluid WITHOUT alcohol!

Your best solution for those spirited runs, is distilled water, with ice in the bottle.
