Good turbo choice! I personally like the BB 6262... I would also do 9:1 comp not 8:1. Also 280s like to rev and that you will not be doing. I would run at 274/276 high lift cam profile to maximize your 2.4 Once again all my opinion.

I would go with higher compression 9.0 and do a 6235r. no one seems to ever mention this turbo. Its pte 6262 with 35r turbine wheel. will make same power as 6262 but with better spool. usually like $100 more than normal 6262.

I'd previously mentioned the BW S362 non-extended. A local DSMer just made 691whp with one recently with a 2.3 and .70 open T3 on pump/meth. We also made 671whp on E70 on an S362 extended tip on a 2.0 with a .85 divided T3 hotside. Both cars see 30+psi by 5k.

You can get the non-extended version for around $1k.

Journal Bearing 6262 (700whp+) or Journal Bearing 6057 (600whp) - We can build a kit around all the PTE turbochargers.

Thanks!

i just read a thread on the holset, which reminded me of the threads i read over on the dsm forums about them. Im starting to think about going with a holset instead as they are alot cheaper, which would leave some money left over for extra goodies

The 35R with a 62mm billet compressor is pretty nice, theyre just over $1600 if I remember.

BW turbos are damn good, but the Holsets seem to have tiny compressors and large turbines, mostly because theyre meant for diesels. Ive seen the specs on a couple, and theyre just not that great on small displacement motors.

the 6262 journal bearing is about $800+ but less than a Grand...but if you can squeeze few bucks more, get the 6262 BB w/ bullet style ...results are awesome

so which turbine flows more, the PT 6235 or the 6262? The garrett rear is a 68mm OD. Does the 62 refer to the inducer or exducer size?
