need help(alternator)

Im not really sure if its the alternator but at start up (idle) the gauges reads 14. within the next couple miles it will drop to 12.5-12.2 at idle but as soon as i get into higher RMP it reads 13.5-13.7 and as soon as i go back to idle it drops again if any can help it would be greatly appriciated thanks

Edit:
and all summer long it stayed at around 13.5 with headlights on, A/C , right up until i recently changed the battery and they checked the alternator and said it was fine so if any 1 know or has the same type of problem please share any helpful info

Check the top battery post and make sure the positive cable is tight and the 12mm nut holding the alternator wire is also tight.

Maybe its your gauges. If you have a volt meter check the the volts at the battery and make sure that it matches your gauges (I would recommend having a buddy there so it goes quicker). Check it at idle and around 2000-2500 rpm.
