Megan 02 housing or Ported Stocker?

ANyone have any suggestions or numbers on an 02 housing? I'm looking at the cheapest "better" not "best" upgrade. I basically narrowed down to megan 02 or a ported stock one.

a ported stocker o2 housing will not give any benefit... David Buschur tested it...

look for a used Invidia or Titek to help on the purchase prices...

Get the Megan O2 housing. It's cheap and effective and is what majority of Evo owners upgrade to. You may have to clean up the wastegate side of the housing to prevent creep, but for $100-120, it's a great bang for the buck.

why deal will the possibilty of having boost creep issues when you can buy something that is proven...

As for the Invidia o2, all you need to do is re-route the o2 sensor...

Some o2 housings creep because of the small merge hole. Just port the merge hole or get one from a vendor that already does it for you. Buschur ports their megan o2 housings for customers.

I am using someone's megain o2 housing he had boost creep, so he ported and there is no creep wut so ever.

I had SS auto chrome o2 housing and it never has boost creep issue.

The Megan comes with a very small outlet for the wastegate side to merge with the turbine side. I felt it necessary to take out some of the material before I put it on my car (the green spot).

After taking my downpipe on/off a couple times the threads gave up pretty easily. I ditched it for an ebay o2 housing. It's opening for the wastegate side was much larger and it's threads have been fine.

i also have first person experience with megan o2 housing causing boost creep. i had to adjust my wastegate to compensate. it worked but also hurt my spoolup some.

Yep

And an even more important thing to consider. Tests have already been done that the 1/4 inch difference had no gains.

The megan 02 doesn't create boost creep from what I have seen and tested! If you are having boost creep then you have your wastegate to tight prob.

OP I have a Ported Megan 02 with only 5k miles on it for 50.00. Let me know if you are interested. I can have it in the mail for you by Monday. I picked up 10hp and 5tq and your turbo will spool sooner. lmk
