Engine Noise (Video)

I get this noise on cold starts, after driving for about 20 min it goes away. Could it be the lifters? Please help me out with this problem, thank you.

You need to add more info. Have u installed cams or had any service done? It does not sound like lifters. How many miles are on the car?

loose exhaust something, when you reved the sound didn't change or increase, you say it goes away after 20 minutes this explains the exhaust heating up and expanding the joints.

if you cant tell let a mechanic look at it, it wont cost $ to look then maybe you can fix it yourself

unless you are really low on oil, it sounds almost like rod knock. however, since it doesnt speed up when you rev, it could be part of your accessory system, like an ac compressor. it sounds like it is causing damage though, I would get it professionally diagnosed ASAP

The car has 65k miles, stock cams. I change the oil every 3k [mobil 1 (10-30w)]. The sound is coming from the engine, gets louder on the timing belt side. Thanks for your replys guys.

Its too fast for rod knock at his rpm unless they all went plus it sounds different.

The knock didn't get faster with rpm like in my example video but changed just slightly when the engine got smoother. I think something is rattling like the others.

Almost sounds like your Cam Gear is rubbing the top cover. My aftermarket cam gears did this and I had to grind off some of the web supports on the inside of the cover. Worth checking since it only takes about 2 mins to take the top cover off.

The noise its definitely coming from the left side of the engine by the timing belt, I took the cover off but it didn't help.
