ok i have an 06 evo mr with a built 5 speed tranny from shep and a exedy twin disc clutch . I really know nothing about trannys but my car is having a really hard time getting into gear from start up. i suspected it was my clutch petal and i adjusted it to the max i really could. Well it worked for a little while but now its acting up again. If anyones got any ideas as to what it may me please let me know thanks

Damn Billy I didn;t know you were having this problem again, you didn't mention it at work.

Like the other guy said, yeah it could be your throw out bearing. It's adjusted to the max?

Yah your tranny is probably ok. Check the TOB like everyone has said.

Make sure the clutch slave is bled if the line was opened. Looking at a bad TOB or something is wrong with the wave ring.

It's weird but it's a silly trick I learned from my 350z's horrible tranny. If I couldn't get into reverse, I would try to put it in first and then for some reason reverse went in smoothly. Of course, this is just a temporary fix until you can fix what's actually wrong with it.
