intake/clutch

Hey all did some research, and i still can't decide....i'm debating between the ams intake/injen w/ uicp/licp/or hks rsr. I read hks is great, but does a bad job filtering, i heard good gains with the injen package, and i've heard nothing about the ams intake for an evo9.

As for the clutch, i can't stand how far the friction point is, do you guys know of any clutches that are umm sort of like a stock sti clutch, where the friction point is quite early?

I went with the injen, works great, fits great and good gains. What mods are you running? Depends on what type of clutch you could need, but you can adjust the pedal a good bit for whatever clutch you choose to change the catch to your specific wishes...

Injen/HKS are your best options for intakes. As far as a clutch that depends on what kind of power levels you want and how you drive your car. PM me and i can help you find what you need

i agree. after driving my bro's wrx, the day i got my evo i was supprised by the difference in clutch not the engagment point but more of the softness of the clutch, i like it real rough .

but in my opinion thats such a stupid reason to get an aftermarket clutch. installtion is a b*tch. on the evo. i wouldn't change the clutch untill ur making the power when u need one. 300+

yeah, i know what you mean lol...i guess i should've mentioned it earlier, i just got a bit lazy. i don't plan on changing the clutch just because of the friction point. i plan on rocking stock one until it goes out ..hopefully i'll be around the 320 awhp range. as for mods my cars completely stock, but the mod list in my mind has to do with pretty much basic bolt-ons, ams fmic, fuel pump, and a bunch of other stuff to support those things (maf etc etc. sorry i'm too lazy to type the whole list out). that's what i would like to do for now...i'll go a bit further once all this stuff is said and done.
