Sparktech COP? Big Turbo? Are you happy you did?

So, I ordered a COP set from sparktech last week and am excited for it to arrive. Can anybody tell me how long it took them to recieve theirs? I haven't recieved any e-mail's or tracking number for my package since I place the order, and a phone message I left earlier went unanswered.( I'm a lil impatient.. I miss my baby's vroom vroom.) Although their products look spot on on the web site and I've seen a few positive reviews for their COP's I wanted to see if anyone running big turbo's had anything to say about their experience with the product.

I ordered mine from MAP and it arrived within a few days. I gained 14whp on my old ETS 58mm turbo setup. I now have an ETS HTA3582r turbo kit running 33psi of boost on E85 and have no issues of spark blow out and the car just pulls and pulls like a freight train all the way up to 8500rpms

Well when I ordered mine directly from sparktech they gave me a military discount. I didn't hear anything from them for a week and I called and asked them about it and they were backed up on orders. So when I called back like the 3rd time they sent it out the next day 2 day air. And man it worx GREAT!

The SparkTech COP is probably the nicest put together piece that I have ever bought. It definitely makes the car feel more responsive and never misfires. You wont look back man.

We also sell the SparkTech COP setups if anyone needs a package deal. We just added them to the website. We run a SparkTech setup on our 1100whp Evo 8 with no problems!

Thanks,

Michael

I went from .024 to ..030 without issue on the same plugs....I didn't even change them.

I wanted it to be a valid test. What I noticed most was better driveability everyday.

I like mine, made a big difference when running low timing and high boost on pump.

I have a SparkTech Pro unit and have been very happy with it since I got it. I run 30psi on a 37r on pump gas and when I switched from stock coils to the COP my logs were noticeably improved. Knock volts went down considerably (think misfires which typically show up as a knock spike in AEM), AFR's were more stable, vacuum areas smoother when driving, and cleared up a lot of my surging in low gears, which surprised me with the JUN 272 cams I have. Literally right after I got the unit and did some fine tuning and pulled up to a car meet a friend very familiar with my car asked what I did cause it sounded very different, and all I did was install a SparkTech COP.

The customer service is excellent as well. Craig is the man and has answered my calls even over the weekend. He gets backed up sometimes due to the volume of orders he gets but that’s for a reason. I’ve seen how he works/builds these and believe me the quality control and attention to detail is unmatched. I’ve looked at several COP units over time when I was making my decision and having one of his units in my hand and talking in person I was sold on the spot. I am in no way putting any other shops work down but I was highly impressed with what I saw, and the level of professionalism I received in person and on the phone each time, and the friendship that’s followed after purchase. I know I made the right choice, don’t sweat the wait you will be very happy in the end.

I have a Sparktech Pro upgrade kit on my car and it is a very well put together product.

I had an M&W DIY loom and plate prior to that and before that ran some other tuners COP using the M&W box. Sparktech is definitely the best put together one I have seen.

I have one piece of negative feedback, but I should note that this is not a Sparktech specific issue, and moreso an issue with all COP systems Ive seen from all tuners including all the ones Ive used. The issue relates to the heat sensitivity of the coils - those that use their cars on circuit tracks (as opposed to daily, 1/4m or sprints) be warned that you might be changing coils more often than you do spark plugs. I have a solution which is in manufacture and once I do some testing will share with Craig as a possible improvement to his kits.

With all the positive responses, I think I made the right choice. I recieved a call late last night, and was pleasantly surprised when I told it was shipped out and I should recive it Wednesday. Thanks. Now I'm more interested in what gap I should set my plugs to. I hava a 6265 turbo with my current gap at .22 Is this a good gap for this new COP?

I typically run 26 to 28 but I have run up to 30 without issues. I just gap them down due to the high boost on pump gas and potential plug fouling/deterioration, figuring the gap would increase with time.

I literally have had the same cheap BR8ES plugs for over 6 months now in my car and simply regapped them last time I checked them... They looked flawless.
