through design work, i think the double pass in the core density we would need to use would offer to much resistance on the system...

so i think single pass may be the way to go..

i will incorporate a heatshield with foil on it, that attaches to the core closest to the turbo to reduce heat soak.

i should have something early this week to run by you guys

how do you see this rad performing/working on a highly modded driven hard street car

thanks. so am i. and i dont want to wait till next summer. i want to know now haha.

my setup is a bit different from yours and as i agree a dual pass would be better i dont think i have room for that. depending the actual length of the rad.

chad

would you suggest this half rad for daily driving and track days? or would it not have enough cooling to support a 20 minute session?

double pass is tricky, because we typically up the fin density along with it..

we run dual pass on all of our TA builds... like our car, ryan doi's, etc.....

it tends to help with cooling when you are moving, but hurts it when sitting still.

so, im working on this single pass, with awesome core quality.

its prolly not suggested over the full size but with the proper setup such as puller fan and shroud they work well maybe not for time attack or hpde racing but i cant see a problem with it for a autox or drag car. i think you would wanna stick with a full size going by your post. I have a half size rad with a spal fan on my turbo honda and i beat the **** outta that thing last summer from md to tn with 500 hp and the temp gauge just wouldent move.

i can deal with that, my car will be driven pretty regularly, or maybe even daily.

Since there are a few kits, i have to design something with the least amount of compromises....

here are a few questions:

1. do you have a/c??
2. are you willing to trim a tab or two??
3. would it be ok to run the stock lower hose, and a new upper that we supply?
4. have a fan premounted with a shroud?

let me know thoughts, as we are still playing with dimensions to make it work.... i want something that is a fit for almost everyone, so i dont have to keep tweaking them,

please let me know ur thoughts.

1) Yes
2) I can trim, but preferably not.
3) Yes
4) Would be GREAT!

Update?

No A/c
I won't be doing the trimming so it's fine with the
As long as it utilizes an AN fitting
Yes

Would you advise running a half rad. on a dd car that see's stop lights more than free ways? or would the slim rad w/ fan be better for that kind of driving?
