compression test

compression test

as stated above ,i did the compression test tonite and the results were
cilender 1 was 125 and all the other were 150 .
ive got 2.3l stroker and 8.6 compression pistion .
just wanted to know is it ok or ive to check somthing ?

Did you do a "wet test"?

Might be a piston ring.

dose ur car smoke at all ? at idle? under boost? before boost etc??

it is smoking a bit ,but not at idle ,it smokes as i lift the throttle after boost ..
i started the car after 3 months of storage ,and im seing smoke ...
i can see some smoke from the blow pipe also ...
what shud i check ..

Today I noticed that when the car is a bit warm its throwing some llite blue smoke ,but
When its fully hot I mean after a complete boosted run the smoke is like gone ,
very minor smoke not noticible
So plz tell wat it cud be

You should not have more than 15psi difference in cylinders next to each other

Well in my case there is a difference of 30 in only 1 cilender ,wat cud it be ?
Also tell that I did this test without pressing the accelerator padal ..
Was it wrong wat I did cause just got to know that we shud doo it with padal on full throttle ..

yes it should be depressed all the way to the floor with the engine still warm. but you still shouldn have that much PSi variation the need needs to come off for inspection. What did the plugs look like? Was number 1 fouled and the rest ok?

sometimes the cams can smash the valve retainers into the valve guide seals screwing up the valve guide that will cause a small drip of oil onto the piston and allow compression to be lost..That was my case in cyl#3 150 across and 120 on #3
