HKS 280 cams, whats wrote on them, and rust issue

I just recieved a set of 280 cams and I was wondering if anyone knew what markings are on them? Mine say ME ES 4604.
Also the cams have some rust spots on them, is this going to be an issue?

If HKS is not cast into the cams, they are not HKS cams. HKS also hand scribes their part # into the cams also, for 280 intake would have 008, exhaust 007. But that doesn't really matter now, those cams should not be use they'll just ruin the head and rockers. You should just buy some from someone with a good rep!

Yeah thats the problem, I purchased them from someone on here with a good rep. I plan on asking for money back, cause even if i get these re polished (if they can) I still dont even know what brand. I was sold HKS 280's these are clearly not.

I got them from a member on here, but I dont want to give out names as I believe in giving him a chance to correct the issue and take them back, ill just eat the shipping. I did just get back from the machine shop and the manager who is very well versed on 4g63's (weird for an old dude) said he has no idea what brand cams they are and that yes HKS do say hks on them. He also said that the pits are caused from sitting with no oil on them and that even if he polished it all out they are too deep to stop the metal flaking.

Not to really bump an old thread but I just got an evo 8 and didnt know what cams were in it. Was told 280's but unknown brand. The only thing on them is KG ES-4604. Did anyone find out where these come from?
