I believe the number stamped on the compressor housing identifies the turbo. The 49378-01560 is the 8MR turbo I think, a 9 turbo has 49378-01580 stamped on it. I'm sure somebody on here will correct me if I'm wrong. lol

No, not at all. Thats what I was thinking. You could probably sell that turbo on here for around $200

Yeah i just noiced the evo9 say 16G6C, and the evo8 comp say 16G6

ehhh...i dont know if its worth it. that price is good but the gains might not be worth the time and $ of a turbo swap and tuning. if ur looking for gains over ur 8 turbo go for a 9 for sure, u can find them for sale on here all the time. good luck
