I just bought a set of used cams off ebay. The seller listed them as HKS 272's. Shipped them quickly. I was so happy that I could install them this weekend.....

I checked the numbers and they are am001 and 002, which I believe are 264's.

What do I do guys??? I e-mailed the seller, but no response!!

 

Should be AM003 and AM004 for non-mivec 272's.

 

paypal dispute, how much did you pay?

 

Paypal will not do anything about it cause you recieved a "product." I really hope you paid with your credit card cause they are they only ones that will do anything. Been though this a couple times.

 

Yeah paypal will do something they will ask the seller for the money back and if he doesnt pay back it will be a negative balance on his paypal account, i have done the dispute before and talked to ebay on the phone..BUYER is always right if the seller has missleading advertisement..just like this case

 

I paid less than $300, so I guess it was okay. But I am very upset. He said they were 272's and he just upgraded to 280's.

Thank god they are real HKS Cams.. They are stamped.

If the guy never gets back to you i would get the $300 back because 264's are not gona make as good of power as 272, but your choice

 

you paid for 272s so thats what u should get. if u wanna throw them in then get some money back to reflect the actual product

What's the actual power difference between the 264 and 272. I saw a graph and the difference was minimal if i remember correctly. It was one of those test with multiple cams tested, maybe it was ams that did the test, i forgot though.

 

Get your money back.

It looks like the 264's made more peak torque but the 272's held the torque longer

Paypal dispute is now closed, the seller never got in touch with me or them.

I got my money back, WooHoo!! And just got some New Kelford 272's.

Anyway, wouldn't you know it. The seller now has e-mailed me 3 times today to get his cams back( What I wanted to do in the first place!)

Paypal said I didn't have to send them back because he did not repond within the 20 days of the dispute.

What to do??

Funny thing is the seller said he didn't have internet access, I guess until today!

 

Keep those for the inconvience he caused you plus the way he tryed to rip you off. But if you want to be nice, tell him to paypal you money for shipping atleast. I wouldnt go out of pocket one dime for what just happened to you
