I took my mom and sister for a ride in the Evo last night.
I couldn't get traction in 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear. I was going 45 MPH in 3rd gear and was able to lite up all 4 tires, haha. Yes....it was wet outside. Still that's never happened to me before.
Loving my new setup!

Man, ever since Brian picked up his new 'street' Evo 8, I am really feeling the itch to have my own Evo. It still may not be until summer though
I really liked your lump gas setup and power curve too. I'm feeling the itch!!!!

I also am going to edit my mod list for next year, as I did not realize my Apexi GT Spec cat-back exhaust necks down to 2.75" at some points
My mods for next year will be the following:
1) New custom MAP downpipe / O2 Dump
2) New true 3" cat-back...Suggestions on which to buy? Currently leaning towards ETS.
3) Grimmspeed 3-Port EBC
4) E-85 tune (and re-do 93 OCT tune)
5) Driver mod.

Yes I am going to have MAP take their standard 3" downpipe with the O2 dump and add a v-band clamp for easy removal.
The dump tube will stay whatever size the dump tube is. I just wanted a full 3" downpipe, instead of it being 2.5" (which most of them are).

Well, the Evo is more or less put away. I put my bounce dryer sheets all over the place to keep the mice/rodents out. They don't like scented things, so they are all over my garage and inside the car.
I pulled my mini battery last week and brought it inside so that the cold doesn't kill it.
The next 50+ degree day (if we have one) I'll probably start it up and take her out.
Now I need to start saving for my last few mods before I buy the GF a ring

Alrightttt! 2012 race season is just about here
I pretty much left the Evo alone over the winter. I ran it a few times just keep things fresh.
I picked up some AMSOIL ARO 20W-50, AMSOIL oil filters, NGKBR8ES plugs and just need some fresh PEAK coolant so I can start driving her again.
Just in-case other people use AMSOIL oil filters...
AMSOIL discontinued the oil filter I was using previously due to low sales.
If you use their search function to figure out which filter you need for the Evo, it will currently display EA15K13-EA. However, after contacting AMSOIL tech support I was told the EA15K46-EA was replaced by the EA15K20-EA.
The difference between the EA15K13-EA and EA15K20-EA is overall oil capacity. The EA15K20-EA is bigger so I went with that filter. So, I ordered a few EA15K20-EA since I was out of filters anyway.
Can't wait to get this thing on the road again. Opening day at the drag strip is less than a week away
If I can't get a 10.90 by the end of the season....then I really am a terrible driver
( and will get an e85 tune to make sure I get there
)

Was the Black ported from FP?
The porting will definitely help it flow better. Everything is smoother and a bit bigger. Every little bit helps, especially if you are after that extra horsepower.
I'm sure it wouldn't be noticeable, but, there might be a measurable (in the logs) amount of lag after the porting. Granted, yes, that happens after you port anything, but you gain power in the top end (moves the curve further to the right).
Besides the porting, what other mods were you considering? Reason I ask is, it's a considerable amount of work to pull the turbo out to have it ported and it might be easier to grab HP somewhere else (though maybe you've already hit all the other spots).
How's the dump working out for you?
Thanks! Hope I get 10's too!

I might just pull it and send to fp for upgrade while i put onthe dump. Turbo was unported.
My im and tb are still stock. Tubular mani and full 3 inch exhaust s2s and other normal boltons. I believe a port of turbo im and tb are all the mods left befor a full built motor and head. I dont know how some people claim 520 djet without a dump. Im at about 450. Can the port and dump hurt me that much? Ill put on the toxic dump shortly
