clearances...what's acceptable?

clearances...what's acceptable?

okay, when you check for clearance on the main and rod bearings what is an ideal number that will be good?

1.5-2 thou on rods, 2.5 thou on mains...as I recall.

Service spec calls for 0.0008" to 0.0016" on the mains... but I always set them up at 0.0015" to 0.002" with great success.
