and an idle problem
and an idle problem
Replaced throttle shaft seals, put it all back together, and everything good as gold.
But..
The idle bounces from 1K to 2K, and if I revv it, the car will stall or die.
Ok, I let off tension from the throttle cable. that lowers the idle one way, or lowers the low part of the idle bounce wave. I adjust the idle screw, that controls the other side of the idle bounce wave. I adjust the both to minimize the bounce to where idle is almost smooth.
That's fine and dandy, but if I revv it, after the rpms spike, on the way down, the car stalls and/or dies. I thought replacing the shaft seals would help combat this.
Guess I'm still missing something.
Ok, fine, I readjust the cable tension, and the idle adjust screw, my idle is nice and smooth, and the car won't stall out after going down from a good revv.
BUT.....it idles at 2K, and I have my nice HKS 272 cams....
I miss the lope, and don't like the high idle.
I am using the stock IX turbo outlet pipe with associated nipple.
I am boost leak tested and good.
My little recirc valve is set soft ( which has helped the severe stalling from before)
when at a lower idle, I revv it to a good 6K, let it drop, the recirc valve flutters till the car stalls or dies.
I am on a greddy rs single spring, and have tried a forge with no improvements.
any ideas, guys?
