Thumbs up 2.4 Thread

I think the 2.4 is becoming a more popular upgrade lately, so lets see everyones setups, main use for the car, etc.
As far as mine goes, its a daily driver, and mod list as follows:

SBR 2.4
Ported/Polished/ 1mm Oversized Head
Comp 272's
ETS 4" FMIC
FP Green, 18psi actuator
780cc
APS DP BOV
BR Mini Battery Kit
Full 3" Exhaust
Exedy Twin Disk
Walbro 255
Ported Exh/Int Mani and Throttle Body

Dont have any numbers yet, as the car is just coming together.

So lets see everyone elses 2.4 builds!

I don't have a 2.4, but I was just interested on your setup. Do you have the new green or the old? What type of numbers are you putting down with that setup?

I'm happy to see the 2.4l getting some more attention, but contrary to popular belief this isn't anything new We've been playing with the 2.4l platform for about 6 years now with great success. Our race car below is making in excess of 1000whp at the wheels through an auto trans and we rev to 9k+ without issue

There should be a lot of posts. I know I've sold several of them in the past few months and everyone has been sharing some great feed back! I hope they come in here to post more info. We've build tons of the 2.4L blocks, including for our X-Game built EVO back in the day. You want to talk about abuse!!!!

In house machining and building allows for some great motors!

Not one to do things in a small way, this is what is in the works after my recent carnage: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...k-carnage.html

English Racing 2.4
JE +.020 pistons
Power Enterprise Head Gasket
L19 ARP studs
MIVEC head
modded MIVEC cam gear (to regain lost cam travel due to the taller deck)
AEM adjustable exhaust cam gear
S2 cams
FP springs
Magnus cast intake
ETS 4" Intercooler & short-route IC pipes
ETS intake
Megan O2 housing
3" Perrin DP - testpipe - HKS catback
PTE 1200 injectors
modded Walbro 255 hp

FPBlack

Head Gasket is on national backorder right now, so the parts are still scattered around in my garage.

Initially will be tuned for 92 octane and as I upgraded my fuel system will be tuned and daily driven on e85. A conversion to SD is also probably going to happen to get the restriction out from in front of the black.

I think I will be very happy with this build, lots of off-boost torque, and insane topend.

I'm going to be running a SBR 2.4 on my FP black as well and at 40 psi it should be a very fun car!
