Apexi N1 Exhaust - How loud is it??

The OP is not looking for something to loud and the N1 is quiter under cruise than the GT anyday and the GT is louder all around... bad choice. And who wants to run a "plug = cat" in the exhaust line and lose 20+ hp and have slower spool just to keep a loud exhaust quiet? no one.

I was under the impression that he was wanting to keep the cat. Must have misread his post. I mainly suggested the GT-Spec cause of it being full stainless and Gruppe-S having a sale on them.
Oh well, I'm satisfied with my exhaust. It is louder than my old HKS Carbon-Ti, but I actually prefer the sound of the GT-Spec over the HKS. I'm assuming the N-1 probably sounds about what the HKS does.

I had an Apexi N1 exhaust, and it was only slightly louder than stock. Most people weren't even aware I had an aftermarket exhaust. I also had a stock cat. I'm currently running an Espelir catless and it's significantly louder.

That is a very good question I have noticed that the exhaust tone has changed at least several times. When it was just a cat back it was super quiet, when I put on the DC Sport SP got a bit more sound to it but still very tame, when I changed the o2 housing a bit louder but still tame WOT though was something new and fun....I love the tone of hearing the WG open, when I installed the HKS 272's ok this was the sounds I was looking for mix of tame and loud if that makes sense
. Since then I have changed my setup as you see in my sig. I think all the port work I have done on the exhaust side and the larger o2 dump plays a role in the new tone to the exhaust. I will try and see if I can take some video tomorrow of my new lower idle when I get to work

Im planning to go BBK-Full, therefore GSC S2s are my best bet!!
I was thinking of Getting MAP's O2 Eliminator dump but BLKCarbonEVO said that its not that good, so, I have no idea what setup will be the best!!!!

The o2 dump eliminator I have heard of people having problems with them but the MAPerformance External Dump O2 Housing I know for a fact on a proper setup will pick up 30-50hp depending on the setup.....before I get flammed I have seen it for my own eyes

Most DP's work great...as long as it 3" in diam then your good. As for the diam of the 02 dump most are about 2.5" But like I posted before the external dump works well. It was done on a FP red built block and head, 93oct 28psi.
