Question wtf is wrong?

I was driving home this evening and started to pass a vehicle when all the sudden my car had a miss (probubly from incorrect gaping of the plug) which happens every now and then but this time it had a miss and right after that it like puttered really bad and started making the loud tapping sound. At idle you can bearly hear it with the hood closed. But every time your engine revs up the sound gets louder. My car always had the light tapping sound that everybody talks about but this one is def. not the same. Any ideas? It didnt throw any codes it idels fine, doesnt over heat and drives fine. Maybe not burning the fuel in one cylinder correcty or what? its an 05 evo 8

I think he's just trying to get more opinions but whoever moved the thread didn't notice this one.

It could be all kinds of things. You need to start with the basics which might be removing the plugs inspecting the condition and going from there. If you broke the tip off a plug it could have bent a valve or ruined one of your cylinders. Check it before you start your car again.
