Exclamation 2.5 Trans and Spec Twin Install ... not with out issues

I installed a new TRE 2.5 trans along with a Spec Twin P-trim. Im having two issues. The first issue I'm having is that immediately after the the SRS light kicked on.. is there something I'm missing here? What could have caused that?

The second issue:
When I'm off the clutch peddle there is a very strange high pitched whistle coming from the trans side of the engine compartment. I have adjusted the peddle thinking that maybe the bearing was riding the fingers on the pressure plate. But that made no difference. It does this when the car is in neutral or in gear.. moving or standing still. If my foot is not touching the peddle then I hear the noise. If I lightly push on the clutch just enough to make the rod on the peddle come in contact with the plunger on the clutch master it stops.
I have spoken to SPEC1. He suggested to me the peddle adjustment. If its not the TOB making contact with the pressure plate .. then what else could it be?

I'm still breaking this new combo in.. so I cant tell you if it locks out or anything else like that.

Here is a link to download the audio file.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you bumped one of the airbag sensors while doing the install. You'll have to have the dealership clear the code and hope it doesn't come back on.

That rattle noise you're hearing is probably the typical rattle that is common with twins.

its not a rattle... its a high pitched whine. Where are the airbag sensors at?

high pitched whine sounds like the TOB. Hydraulic TOBs can make that sound. How loud is it?

SRS light, like kracka said, is probably from something else. Shouldn't have anything to do with the clutch/trans unless you knocked something during install.

Sensors are those yellow plugs not too far from the headlights under the hood. Whine/rattle tomato/tomatoe. Just double check to make sure the TOB clip is attached properly.

Its a hydraulic TOB... i believe spec sends out QM TOB with their super twins. Its pretty loud. SPEC asked my to try and record the sound for them to try and diagnose the sound. I will post it here to.

SPEC also tells me that to this day no one using this TOB has complained of a TOB noise.

A question on the SRS..
Is there a harness that perhaps I didn't plug back in... I've looked and don't see anything., will the light clear itself after so many cycles or do I need to take it in to the stealership?

That is correct, it is a quatermaster TOB:

Yeah, i haven't heard that either but since they don't manufacture them you may have gotten the black sheep one that happens to whine. I still dont think it is a big deal. Keep us updated.

I keep you guys posted on the noise... I going to try to isolate the noise to get a recording of it.. its pretty loud... sounds really stupid... almost like a belt whine but all the time unless i put my foot on the clutch peddle

From my experience, the SRS light will clear itself if no problems exist. It sounds like you have a problem.

Oh, very odd. Most TOB whine is WHEN you press the pedal (or disengage the clutch).
