ivey transmission rebuild?

everyone loves going to shep, tre and buschur. ivey advertises he does transmission rebuilds also. considering he's only 5 minutes from my house and his solid reputation, i wanted to give him a try in curing my 5th gear vibrations... anyone else have experience with him and his transmission rebuilds?

Sean did my 6sp trans. I pulled it out and drove it up there. Took less than 2 weeks. Sean was awesome to work with and now (knock on wood) my trans is smooth as butter. I highly recommend Ivey to rebuild the trans you will not be unhappy.

Tough question to ask. Took me days to get mine out. when I was doing research was all over the map on that. IDK 5/6 hours of labor to take it out...Its a real pain in the A$$

its weight in gold... It is one of the worst installs i have ever done on any vehicle. I have seen anywhere from $600 to 1000 for a clutch install.

A full clutch job on a stockish Evo normally takes a full day so long as we don't run into issues w/ rounded off bolts, seized bolts, etc.

Sorry i don't handle the pricing so i can't quote ya an exact #

If you have done it a few times and know the ropes well and do it properly it only takes a few hours to get one out and back in. I know someone that can have 2 evo clutch jobs done before lunch time

My first time i ever did one i was pretty much hating life for a little bit

I just helped my friend take his trans out to learn before I took mine out and its a big PITA!!! Ive done one on my old talon and its pretty close to it just time consuming. Also you have to remember to tilt the tranny foward while your pulling it out so it doesnt hit the frame in the back after you pop the clip out by the TOB. I understand why its costs a decent amout for a shop to do it
