Good luck

No they wont, they say they give military discounts and I never received any type of discount there. I told them I was driving from Ft. Hood TX and have my DOD decals on my windshield. I spent some money there along with other friends, no discounts for us and Im talking thousands of dollars at a time, not just a clutch job at a time.

Honestly a clutch job shouldn't cost more than $500. Unless you have ACD there's little or no danger in having a competent shop do the job. Just bring all your own fluids and parts.

It would be nice to hear what the EVO specific places are charging....BR, AMS, CBRD, TTP.... they all could do the job blindfolded and I'd pay more to have them do it.

$550 for the install from TTP. here's the clutch (TTP spec) i was talking about. go to the drop down menu, its the 6 puck cerametallic sprung good to 636 ft-lbs (HDR6). like i said its a real good clutch i dont get lockout after 7600 rpms. its a little rough to drive in stop and go traffic and on hills but you know since a race clutch you can slip it a good bit. also according to ACT there is no break in time for this clutch. i tracked it (drag strip) less than 500 miles after install.

dont forget the flywheel!

wow look at that, its less than $850!

oh and over 20 launches and 6000+ miles on my clutch currently with no issues

yes i am, US Army at Gordon. ive heard very good things about MAP but i think one of the reasons i never bought from them was something about my friend having a bad experience there for parts on his evo. im not 100% sure it was them, but i know there was a guy on evoM that had a bad experience with MAP and there was this thread about it, and everything got resolved right away and i think they gave him some discount or something to compensate. ill have to check MAP out next part i buy (maybe my injectors or something)

Who recommends replacing the OEM gaskets (not even sure which ones) when doing a clutch job? I saw this on another thread and wondered what people thought. My car only has 16.5k miles.

Second, when you replace the clutch line with an SS line, do you put the clutch 'pill' restrictor back in? I have never done this job so I am not even totally sure where the pill is...

I would have thought the same until another member on here recently posted his clutch swap and said he spent about $30 on OEM replacement gaskets... for something. I was not thinking there would be anything and I guess if you are saying there are no gaskets, it is a non issue for me. Thanks!

There is one or two o-rings that if you do not lose or damage, do not need to be replaced.
