HKS DLI troubleshooting

How do I troubleshoot a bad HKS DLI or wire harness ?
My car seems to be eating up the coil on cyl #4 frequently, and runs on limp mode. But I will let it sit for a while, fire it back up and its fine.
The DLI's red LED flickers when running, not sure if thats a sign that its going bad or not.
Running AEM EMS, stock coils, the DLI, and NGKBPRS8ES gapped at about 0.025.
When its working fine, the car pulls strong and runs/idles great.

it should not flickr, take the amp off re gap the plugs and just drive the car without it. the amplifier could be bad and burning up the coil. I have seen two of them go bad and they were both blinking the led

just plug the stock coils back up like normal and you can leave the HKS IN the car if u want just to test.

if you are running alot of boost you will want to gap your plugs closer so it doesnt break up

if the amp is fried no it will not let the car start, just unplug it and see if it starts

Going to check my coil dwell settings on the EMS tonight. Anything else I should look at while online with the ECU ?

Are you using the stock coil settings that evil_eagle has posted in the EMS forum?
