Picture of the transmission internals

Does anyone have pictures of the Evo 8 transmission cracked open?

I just rebuilt my friends transmission. I replaced the synchros, the final gear, and the "change holder" in his '95 Integra GS-R and it is running like a champ now. I was wondering if I can rebuild my own transmission. I would just like some pictures first so I know what I'm working with.

Thanks.

search, i remember a thread a guy documented when his failed and he almost went through every part on the transmission. The search button sucks, but play with it.

if you can rebuild the trans in your friends acura then you can for sure rebuild yours. i did mine myself this past time. spent 400 bucks on parts through mitsubishiparts.net. i dont have any experience with transmissions except for taking them out and reinstalling them. i sent mine off to shep the first time and when i got it back it was notchy feeling, they said it would go away with time. instead my second gear went out like 20k miles later. i'm not friendly with my car all the time so i knew i would always have that problem. i decided to try to save a few thousand dollars and do it myself. so far i'm impressed with my work, 8000 miles or so with butter like shifting since i put it back in my car.

Thats good to hear. I was just wondering if there's any major differences considering we're all wheel drive and his is front wheel drive.
