there are many other manufactures that produce clutchs for the evo who are quite better then an ACT. I tihnk the ACT will have too harsh of an engagement. I will post some clutchs as I find them, hope fully one will be an ACT.

I disagree 1QWKEVO the ACT to me will be the best on the market for the Evo. The ACT will be available soon. I was told next month for the ACT by ACT. I would wait. My clutch has been slipping for a month now and I will continue to wait for something with a 2600lb plate.

thats cool, there will be differences of opinions... I however do not concider it to be the best clutch, maybe an affordable alternative, but not the best... just my two cents

Actually, the ACT for the Evo is already available. I just got mine off the UPS truck on Wednesday. I got it from Road Race, I'll let you know what I think of it. Also, I think that pressure plate is a 2900 lb.

I wonder what will break first, the tranny or the t-case.

How about neither?

The EVO 7 clutch was already at 2700 lbs, you all got stuck with only 2200 lbs with the EVO 8 clutch. Since the ACT uses an organic street disc, engagement is smooth and predictable. It just does not have the designer name (or price) as the other clutches being sold. My wife's daily driver has one on it and she loves it. Same one that is in our shop car. With a fidanza aluminum flywheel, it is even 3 lbs lighter than the Exedy twin disc set up, smoother and quieter too. Pedal effort is the similar to the Exedy too.

A lot cheaper, and from reading what the ACT guy has been posting here on the EVOm boards, I'll buy the ACT when/if mine ever goes out.

I don't need $400 purple paint on a part no one will ever see
