Parts compatability

Well, I tried a search and found some interesting reading, but not the answer to my questions....

What engine related parts swap over from a "traditional" DSM to the EVO? I learned today that the fuel injectors are swappable.

The reason I ask is mainly to know what stock parts from my EVO are "marketable" on the DSM parts trader when I upgrade. My stock injectors are a good upgrade for a DSM....therefore buying larger injectors is actually less expensive in the long run than it would be if I could NOT sell my stock ones on the parts trader.

Are the cams a direct swap? Beats me! Seems like they would be though. Are the stock EVO cams a more aggressive profile than the stock DSM cams? Again, BEATS ME!

Any good info would be much appreciated

Keith

ok ok stop bumping.... lol

injectors are upgradable, you evo (if 03) should be 550 or so which is an upgrade to any mitsubishi. You fuel pump can be wired to work in any mitsu, i don't know the flow on the evo but i'm assuming it's up around 200. your exhaust manifold will fit with some very minor mods, your turbo should fit with little or no mods, the compressor housing might hit on a dsm but i know the EVO 3 is a direct bold on will need custom pipes (the compressor housings are different on the two). One can make the FMIC bolt up with some fab work. The wheels will bolt up offset might be slightly higher then it should. Brakes will fit almost anything jsut need the mounting hardware. Seats will bolt up to almost anything jsut need rails. And thats about it... anyone else with comments?

that's good to know; then i guess i'll be keeping my 255 fuel pump, and 625 cc injectors for my Evo. that will save me some cash.
