Just installed my HKS RS WOW!!!!!

I was very impressed with my new intake. It sounds awesome. I would recommend it to anyone. Was a little pain in the *** to install(old intake removal),everything else was plug and play.It sounds awesome when you get up on the gas all you hear is suction.Well worth the money for the sound alone but i felt some more hp higher up , lost alittle down low .I find myself giving more gas on take normal take off, but thats nothing.
Just thought i would give my experience with it.

Ohya i also installed my UK EVO8 Badge on the rear . It fills the trunk up quite nicely, it evens the size of the trunk out very well.

After Installing the HKS RS, I noticed once in a while my car would idle funny. Like sometimes when parking ur car and u just give it little bit of gas and step on the clutch then all of the SUDDEN your RPM drops to like 300 RPM and 1 second later it goes back to normal. THis happen before the HKS RS also after installing the RS I noticed it happens more often.

I'm not trying to bash you're new mod or anything, but I've heard that the HKS filters aren't very good. I've heard that they can let dirt past the filter element into the engine. Again, this is only what I've heard. Can anybody comment on this? Thanks

They are very porous, keep them clean and well oiled and you'll be fine. I've got one for sale by the way, I'm selling my EVO.

Please don not attempt to clean the foam hks filters for the RS intake they are ment to be replaced not cleaned, the foam will fall apart rapidly if you try to clean them. I know you can get replacement filters from Z1.

No oil or cleaning just replace every 3-5k miles. If you live where it is very dusty I wouldnt recommend this. But in md there arent realy any dirt roads
