I had my check engine light come on the other day. I finally had time to get it checked and the oil changed, and took it to the dealership. (free oil change coupon, mine as well). I had them look at what was throwing the sensor and they found it was the one on my cat. I know AMS offers the spacer kit for $25 and i was thinking of going test pipe anyways, so im going that route.

But i had no idea that you couldn't an evo 9 cat except from a dealer. I got a quote for giggles, and it was 925.10 DOLLARS FOR THE CAT!!! lol anyone want to sell me a cat for smog?

I told him thanks, but i will find one online for when smog rolls around.

Has anyone ran into this smog issue in CA? I was curious if anyone had any helpful tips on the system of smogging for when mine becomes due. I have an evo 9 '06 too by the way if that plays a factor
