?'s 4 those w/ upgraded UICP (mainly Injen)

So I have the full injen intake kit, and was told that my coupler that mates the throttle body to the UICP, is wearing down and causing a leak... I was brought over to the coupler and had me press on the coupler, (in the 90* elbow section) and can press the coupler in quite easily...

question 1: is this normal? To be able to press in the coupler, very easily?

2: Where can I purchase 1? as I have contacted Injen, and this is what I got...
Hello,
I believe you are looking for the 90 degree silicone elbow part # X-3139
dimensionsEVO) 2-3/4" ID 3-ply. Sharp 90 deg. Elbow
3.875 x 3.25"

I go and look on their site, and no item #... sent them another message, saying its not listed on their site... and got this
Alright sorry about that I cant seem to find it on injenonline either so ill sell it directly to you. do you have a fax # I can send you a credit card authorization form to?
cost: $27.27

Now I would like to purchase a coupler that is a bit thicker ply, that wont wear down as easily, and possibly from a shop in the US, as I believe ordering direct would be from over seas. not sure, assuming...

If any 1/ vendors could confirm that its normal (to be able to press in the coupler as desribed) or not, and direct me to a place I can purchase a new 1 would be a great help...

TIA

can any1 w/ an injen UICP, feel on the coupler (that mates the TB), and see if its stiff or easy to push in??? This would help me determine if I should just replace it or not...

TIA

if you are having doubts about the elbow coupler by the tb, then order a new one from ETS, they are very strong..

Yes, the Injen coupler connecting to the throttle body is pretty flexible and soft. I was actually poking around today. I was actually looking for a replacement coupler to the intercooler from Injen and their website store is not to great and I could not get one. Go through ETS like others have said for that coupler.

I have both upper and lower made by Weapon R. The coupler that came in with is made of a different material than the stock one.

I run the Injen piping also. I like the pipes and I really like the placement of the DV but the couplers are the weak part of the kit. I've blown off a boost tube around 5 times in the last year. I'm going to look into upgraded couplers as well. Let us know what you decide to do and how it works out for you.
