Crappy xmas eve...

Ok so I copied my map into tephra v7 thought everything looked good. Loaded it and tried to log. Once I hit around 5000rpm (dont remember the boost prob around 23) it falls flat on its face, kind of like when it hits the fuel cut. I check the log and 13,12,12 counts of knock. I pulled over loaded my previous rom and logged again. Little to no knock when I logged. I stop the car and realize it smells like burning oil. I pop the hood to see smoke emerging from the firewall passanger side. There is oil sprayed almost all over. Any ideas? My guess would be something I sure as hell dont want to deal with so before I start to over-stress, any suggestions? thanks!!

There is engine oil everywhere? Any oil in the coolant? Maybe the headgasket went, but I wouldn't expect it to be that violent and spray that much oil.

Wow, sorry to hear about your bad luck. Did you check to see if your dipstick popped out. That happened to me on my Talon and I got oil everywhere.

checked the coolant for oil and it looked fine. Didnt seem like any coolant was in the overflow tube. When I was driving it around earlier the coolant temp was started to creep above average. The dipstick seemed fine. Another fact, there was a ticking sound when I was drivin around earlier after this all happened...

the over flow wasn't empty the tube that dumps the excess looked like nothing had passed through (heard that with a blown HG it will push all that coolant out). Thanks, I'll check all around the valve cover. It had a crack in it patched with rv sealant so I'll go over all those to see if its leaking but from what I saw it didn't seem like it was coming from the valve cover.

Went out to start my car this morning to try and see where the oil was coming from. All I saw was it shooting off the timing belt then it stopped. When I turned the engine off it stopped 'hard'. Also, I left it on for a good ten minutes and the temp gauge never moved...

you probably blew the head gasket and it pressurized the whole coolant system with boost blowing the coolant out somewhere lol. open the radiator does it have coolant? check oil level etc.

Ya i was worried it was a HG. The oil seems fine, right at where it last was. Checked the radiator, coolant wasn't to the top but I could see some in there.

just took it out around the block. Got on it about 50%throttle at 3875-4125rpm hit 13,13,12,12 counts of knock. When I got back opend the hood and found oil on the timing belt, under the cross bar, pretty much anywhere in the back passanger side of the car. It didn't overhead, coolant got to 230

Yikes that sucks.
Sounds like a headgasket. I wouldn't be driving it anymore until you find the problem. Maybe even try a compression leak down test.
