Evo 9 + Aquamist 6 Meth Kit ; will this meet my goal?

Hey!

Goal: 400hp (BHP?) keyword: SAFELY... DON'T WANNA OVERLOAD THE EVO.

FYI, i was gonna do CRBD BBK however a little tight on money this season so trying this route and wanted to know if this meets my objection. Also i do not have access to E85, was told this was the best route. Also using 91 octane, close to california quality 2b honest.

Mod currently have;

- Act street clutch
- buschur cone filter
- ETS LICP
- Hallman MBC
- Catless TBE

Mods getting:

- ported exhaust manifold
- Aquamist 6 water/meth Kit , heard it was the most reliable kit on the market today
- Sparktech Non-CDI kit
- Bushur Intake
- ETS 3" IC
- walbro fuel pump

Was gonna do cams however, i was told with the Mivec, they dont make as much difference as they do on the Evo 8's and as of right now i can bypass it. Was gonna do o2 housing but someone told me to hold off till i get the BBK for labour purposes.

ALL FEEDBACK WELCOME, as this is why im posting for help and a knowledge gain.

THANKS!!

That sounds like 350 to 400hp ! Let us know what numbers you get once you are finished with your mods. Very good choice of mods.

On 91 + 50/50 Meth/Water I am ~375 - 380 whp according to VDR (mods in my signature). BHP numbers are higher than WHP, so I think you'll be very close to your goal. Just make sure you are using a great failsafe (e.g. Zeitronix + Tephra Mod v7) and your tune is good. Good luck

Aquamist has great failsafes and engineering performance. You will be very happy with the Aquamist kit.

None of the other listed are beneficial.

Id say forget about the meth and the COP. Instead of getting a 3inch intercooler I'd step up to at least a 3.5inch and just buy the BBK. You have an IX so you can convert your turbo or just sell it after the fact.

Ya def don't waste the money on the o2 housing now. I put one on the stock turbo and it's great but it cost me a lot extra when a bolt snapped off and had to get it drilled out and repaired. I wish I would have just held off till I get a new turbo.

I agree w/ the intercooler. I had bad luck with a ETS 3", I'd say go with their 3.5 or go AMS. If you go with ETS ask for the Garrett core.

Why couldn't he use the stock o2 and manifold? I'm thinking he's gonna need injectors regardless if he's shooting for 400 and the IC is goin in anyways.

Forget the ported mani, sparktech and meth kit and put the money towards the BBK

Thanks for the reply meltdown

see another reason I am wanting meth is b/c we have ****ty gas and I was always told meth would help compensate that! If I just get the turbine I feel that I'm gonna deal with my bull**** octane issue

I was told by a local tuner that it wouldn't spray alot and make it so it sprays around 15-20psi .

Meltdown could u pls go on more detail of why getting a 3.5" over 3"

I had 3" TBE w/ no cat, licp, megans o2, open filter, 1000cc and fuel pump and made close to 400 on E85 with stock turbo, stock cams and stock IC @26psi. I put on the ETS 3" and loss pwr. I had to up it to 30psi just to get back close to where I was at before. Maybe it was more their core design then being 3" or a combo of the two. Also I seem to hear more people using their 3.5 with good results. I ended up with a garrett 3.5 core. I hadn't been back on the dyno with it but I did a bunch of logs in the summer comparing them I saw more knock with the ETS after several pulls.

depending on the miliage might as well do the 60k treatment while your buying parts, but then again that makes your cost go up
