I never have. It's a cheap enough part that I'll use a new one when I'm building a fresh, new motor. Probably could though.

Isn't it on the list of parts to replace on the 60k timing belt service?

Last I checked there were no aftermarket companies rebuilding/remanufacturing the IX water pumps. I know cheap remans are available for the VIII, the the quality of those I've seen is questionable and they seem more prone to blow out the freeze plug on the pump case. I personally will be reusing my stock pump when it comes time to do my timing belt just like I've done with the other IX's I've worked on which have had zero issues reusing the stock pump.

I just buy the pump new from mitsu along with the full timing component kit. I'd never reuse a hydraulic tensioner EVER on any car.

REPLACE IT!!! It's not worth the chance of it going bad and having to replace it with the motor in the car.

Don't reuse it. It is not much $$$ so don't chance it. However, you can reuse the oil pump.
