My evo wont start what to do?

My evo wont start what to do? I started it this morning while holding the throttle and then let off and the car died it did not want to hold an idle or start up again. It cranks and all and you can hear it firing but it wont start. I replaced the original iac with another one i bought from a member. I think the problem is that both iac's that i have are no good. What do you guys think? im about to buy a new one.

When i go to start the car in the morning, I have to step on the gas to have the car turn on, and hold the throttle for the car to warm up. If not it would die. The second time would be very hard to start the car. Yesterday, I went to go start the car in the real cold weather were having hear in ct, and it started as usally while pressing the gas. I thought the car was warm enough to hold an idle but it wasnt. The car died out and would not start the second time i tried to start it. I tried later in the day to start the car it turned on after cranking it for a while, and started but only ran for a few seconds. I thinking it is a iac from what ive been told and from researching on the forums.

possibly ect or ecm?
my old eclipse did the same thing, would crank and crank and crank, and not stay running till it warmed up. replaced the ect sensor (cheap part, car was 15 years old, figured was worth a shot as my mitsu tech friend told me it sounded as if the car didnt know that it was cold and was trying to run as if it were warm), no change. called him back, he brought in an ecm for me to try, problem solved. basically what was going on with mine was that the ecm was not reading the ect sensor, so was trying to start as if the car was warmed up.
if u can get a scanner on it while its running, see if u can pull what ur ect is reading and possibly rule this out.
just my .02, may not even be relevant as the two cars are totally different yet quite the same.

That's when i started having issues with mine. Sounds like either your sparks are going out or your timing is off. But without seeing it, these are just my opinions.
