Is the exhaust still so black after SAFC?

I have a SAFCII and I'm just waiting on my harness to arrive before installing it. I also have BR Stage 1 installed, and have noticed the with the free flow exhaust on, I can really notice the blackness on the tailpipe and some around the bumper, which I expected to have happen. With the SAFC on the car and therefor the car running more lean I assuming (hoping) that the blackness will not be as evident, or at least much less. So anyone w/ exhaust and SAFC let me know what your results from this are. Thanks.

If you lean the car out the black will be less. The coloration will lighten up and bunch and will become more gray then black.

As has been posted many times, there is a lot of variation in Evos. Using someone elses numbers without any form of monitoring is not a good idea. If you don't have access to a dyno, get a wideband and EGT, and start rich then make gradual changes.

wideband is unnessecary, just use the egt, start with the richest reasonable numbers, say if some people are -6 and some -12, start with -6....then aim for 880c at redline in 3rd.

Then you can start doing something good for your car like monitoring the ignition timing and watching out for knock. Get a pocketlogger and be on your way
