bf272 vs. kelford 272?!?

ok. i have been drooling over picking up the kelfords for my new setup for the summer which im getting together now over the winter. mods are in sig but a few changes are being made. first i have a ported 9 turbo, ported/coaed mani, 1000's, dumped o2, and i may go speed density no sure yet though. also some supertech duals already. other small insignificant mods. all this bein retuned on e85. anyway i cant find too many running the bf272 but i found a set for a good deal. my question is are they gonna kill my setup? i know most say to stay away from them with a stock framed turbo but im going big when this next season is over. i asked nick for the exact specs on them but he hasnt got back to me yet. im not worried about driveability on the streets, it is my DD but i visit the strip AT LEAST once a week. my goal on this summers setup is around 400hp on buschurs mustang on e85.

BR has never released the specs on those cams and Dave has said they never will.

They def perform but I wouldn't run them on a stock framed turbo. Looking at dyno charts they have posted they really shine on the top end where your stock frame will be falling off

+1^ stock frame turbo less than say a "red" will most likely not utilize the potential of the BF cams, but if you plan on bolting on a bigger kit in the future, then I would recommend it...

have a built FFP head with Supertech valvetrain, .5mm larger valves, BF272 in/ex cams, FFP built block with turbo tuff rods, ross pistons coated, 5857 dual BB air cooled turbo kit on E85 and 93oct maps...

I wonder how they would run on an fp black/2.0/93 pumpgas setup? Of course, The same setup with racegas also. It seems those cams are deemed for 35r+ setups but if that was the case it should suit the fp black well also.

the BF cams are really agressive for being 272s.

I'm happy with my BFs. 464 on BR dyno with a Red. With the black, should be 480+. With a good tune, they are perfectly fine on the street. Don't be afraid of them.

From what I remember, Dave doesn't suggest those cams on a stock motor. There is even a message on the website under that item mentioning that i believe.

yes i do see that but i dont think it will be a problem for the "motor" with my supertec duals. im just tryin to find someone who has used them on a green or stock 9 turbo. talked a few running them on reds and loved them. i actually might be running a white for the season(dont ask) so im just lookin for some input from someone who has tried it if there is anyone. i may just have to be the ginnypig.

The Kelfords have a pretty damn good track record and seem to perform time and time again. It's what I run in my car and I'm very happy with them.
