Intercooler burn mark

Thumbs down Intercooler burn mark

Im posting this to see if anyone else has had this problem.....and possibly what i should do about it. It looks like a round burn mark almost dead center on my intercooler.....It bugs me everytime i walk up to my car and look at SILVER!!!!! then black spot .Any advice and such would be apreciated, thanks!

Never heard that before, have you cleaned it really well to make sure it isn't road tar or some other substance

How about a picture so we can see wtf you are talking about? This sounds non-standard to me as mine is fine also.

aside from the few dings from large bugs and possible rocks, mine is too fine... please post a picture

If it happens to be true that there is a burn effect on it, it must be from something on the outside of the intercooler "baking" onto it. Aluminum doesn't turn brown or black for any reason... well maybe if in contact with certain chemicals it may, but i'm no chemist.
