problems with perrin turbo intake

okay, so i just installed a complete turbo intake, everything went well until it came to putting the filter on. i wiped off all the oil on the flanges, and i can get one of the hose clamps on, the one closes to the bracket, but the one that actually hold the foam on it will slip off no matter what i do, there is a angle on the foam bracket, making it pretty much impossible to put on, perrin i hope u read this, im not complaining, i just really want to fix this problem.

You tightened one of the clamps on too much. It's been a year since I installed mine but had the same issue. Without looking at it I can't help too much, take a pic and I can assist further.

I've heard that if you take a bit of simple green to clean off that oily rubber section it will help keep it from slipping. I had mine slip off a few times but was able to get it on just right (not too tight, but still secure) and its held fine for a few months now.
