I put the Helix High flow cat on and was custom tuned by Al (dynoflash)

I ran for three weeks and no lite, and then *sniff* CEL comes on after a long idle.

Two days later it went off on its own...don't know why, but it's off now.

dont give up.

"The EVO is the hands down hardest car to eliminate the CEL for the cat on I have ever seen.

We have actually just about given up. Just as we had the problem fixed the '04-'05's came our and have a new set of problems. "

David please do NOT give up as I hate looking at that light I have a 04 with hf cat I am temped to get the cat delete and the cel elemator just so I dont have to look at the light. I know it does not hurt but It makes me think something is wrong with the car. I have a ? David how do COBB for the STI and the WRX get rid of the lights with just the ecu by the programing using the Accessport. Thanks Ted

if you go to any auto parts store, and get a non foul spark plug spacer, you will need two to make it work. but this is what I did and it work great. do a search on the forms and because their is a write up on it.

bump.

Helix dump pipe, Helix front pipe, Helix high flow cat with 02 sensor tapped in to the front of it (pre-catalyst), Trust PE2 catback. Yes, I have the CEL.

How do I defeat this little yellow monster?

Now i'm not sure if i've done this right, but my stainless Helix cat didn't actually have an o2 bung already in it, so I had my exhaust guy tap one into it, in the same position as the one on the stock cat (just before the catalyst). Is that correct?

Now could the additional heat in the cat be affecting it, considering the front pipe is wrapped in ThermoTec to keep the cat hotter and thus improve flow?
