Bov ?

Hey just curious what you guys would recommend for me. Car came with a TurboXS BOV. I'm sure there is no need to explain why I want rid of it.

So Synapse or OEM 9?

I'm looking for best performance for a 450hp race application on OpenSource with a 2.3L stroker and FP Red.

Any other suggestions? It needs to be re-recirculating

Pushing almost 24 psi with the APS recirc/vent valve on a 30R and have had great luck with it. Adjustable spring for great drivability as well.

I have been hearing a lot of good things about the Synapse lately. Seems like everyone that gets it and gets it set-up right really likes it. I enjoy my OEM Evo 9 Bov, I have it crushed a little to help hold boost. But all around it is a good bov.

okay that sounds awesome. so when the pressure keeps building up from the re-circ it pushes the piston more and opens a 2nd port to atmospheric dump??

the aps works well, the synapse has proven to work well also. on the other hand, don't let popular belief influence you too much. i have a forge rs which plenty of people think is crap but it works great for me...so if it ain't broke, don't fix it

yea but how does your act under half-throttle release conditions? Does it just open all the way like mine does and jerk the car forward and kill the throttle response?

It seems like the APS has solved this?

okay well im down to synapse and APS. I found an APS for $190 new in the box and I found a Synapse used for $190.

I just got off the phone with my friend at Appalachian Performance and he said they have not been able to get a hold of APS since late this summer so he's not sure whats going on but he cannot get me a new APS, only Synsapse
