I though of you might find this interesting, found this on a AU evo forum:

http://www.meek.com.au/index.php?act...&productId=384

"These fantastic new turbine housings feature super enlarged wastegate ports GTpumps flow bench tested at 31% more than 10.5cm EVO9!!!"

I'm sure this would be a big upgrade for VIII turbos, but what do you think it would do for a IX turbo??

If it flows 31% more than the EVO9, I bet we all know what it will do for an IX turbo.

A third more flow hunh.. yeah, gotta see some flow dynamics to understand the math on that one. all the FP stock appearing owners out there would probably be very interested if it produces as advertised.

Exactly!! If this works right in the real world.. Every Black owner would need one! If it doesn't loose spool on the Red or Green it would be a Huge Plus!

Anyone who knows FP's history with DSMs would tell you that it'll only be a matter of time before FP casts their own proprietary turbine housing for the EVOs. When they do, I guarantee it won't be a stock clone with a slightly larger scroll like this one appears to be.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA You've got to be kidding me.

The cast in part number is the same as the 10.5.

They have ground of the 10.5 part and scribed in 10.8 though.

I wonder if some neon back lighting to the photo would bring their flow bench numbers up another 30%.

I reread the post, my mistake it is the wastegate ports that flow 31% more. I'll correct this in my original post. More info from the vendor.

"On a car with mild mods it will give similar performance to the 10.5cm (eg. much better performance over 6000RPM), on a more modified car (cams, 1.5 bar boost, etc) your can really take advantage of the extra airflow. Spool is not much different to a 10.5cm. So if you have a 9.0cm or a 9.8cm this is a big upgrade.

This housing is also ideal if you are running a stock turbo with a stroker. "

Q: is this pretty much same as a ported 10.5?

A: "No it's a complete new casting"
